【Message from Yoshida】 校長メッセージへ

Greetings from Yoshida, Kazuo principal

Welcome to the homepage of the Shiroyama Junior High School.  Thank you for visiting our site.

I am Kazuo Yoshida principal of this school.  I arrived at this position in April of the 2007 school year.  I am very glad to be able to tell everyone about the educational activities and outlook of our school.

Hachioji Shiroyama Municipal Junior High School is located in the northern part of Hachioji City, Tokyo, and is situated on a hill in a foothill region enclosed by mountains and a residential area.  Presently it is a medium size school with 358 students.  There are three first year classes (home room class sections), four second year classes and three third year classes, for a total of ten classes.

This school branched off from the Motohachioji Junior High School in February, 1983, and the 1st entrance ceremony was held in April of that year.  Therefore, this year becomes out 25th anniversary.

This junior high school is fortunate to have bright, energetic and friendly students.  We are equally fortunate to have school personnel who go all-out.  This makes for a complete, well rounded educational environment.  I have come to like it very much here in the time I have been in this position.

I feel a strong desire to make a new school able to meet modern educational issues, while making the best use of the tradition and good qualities of the school.  The educational goal of this school is “To learn, To mold/forge, To Understand”.  I think this is a simple, clear and good target.  We are trying hard in all our activities to achieve these goals.

I think that the focus at the school is the student.  Our mission is to have the students take an active roll and have the possibility to grow up enriched.  These are the school and the school’s staff’s aims.

Moreover, children are the most important “Treasure” at home, as well as for the future of Japan and the world.  This is always kept in mind, when educational activity takes place.

Being aware of our motto “PROUD OF SHIROYAMA JR. HIGH SCHOOL!  GLAD TO HAVE STUDIED AT SHIROYAMA JR. HIGH SCHOOL” we will make every effort to enable each and every student to grow and realize their potential.  We also pledge to make every effort to make this local public junior high school deserving of the trust of the students, parents and the community at large.

It will be greatly appreciated if you are able to learn about the educational activity of the Shiroyama Junior High School through this page.  Please take the time to review Shiroyama Junior High School’s Mission Statement which follows.
